Fit for Life

I thought I'd take a minute today and jot off a blog entry. Some of you may know that I have been on a fitness regime for the past 3 months now. I've been working out daily and eating healthy. I've lost 12 lbs and am really getting my endurance for walking, hiking, biking built up. On my last walk on the rail trail, I actually RAN for 1/4 of a mile. So I set some goals which is actually what initiated this entire fitness kick. I am 57yrs old and in less than 3 years I will be 60. Almost every year of my adult life, I've said "this year" I would get fit. But never did. I'm in the "latter" stage of my life. Do I want to spend that time being a homebody, watching TV, fat and unhealthy? Or do I want to be in the best shape I've ever been in, looking younger than my 60 years, and Living Life to it's Fullest? Well I believe God liked the second part of that because He has so blessed me with the motivation and perseverance to begin and continue this task. I believe He has some amazing plans for me in my later years that will require me to be fit, healthy and raring to go. So I just wanted to give God the glory for what I've accomplished in the past 3 months and to pledge to continue working toward my goal and His....being fit of Life...God's Life!
