Snowy 2008

Happy New Year day 2 of 2008. Mike is back to work and I go back tomorrow. Yesterday we had a spitting of snow and awoke to quite a lot of accumulation. It's really pretty and I'm thankful I don't have to go out into it today. You can see the "spot" in one of the photos where the tree previously stood. The park people just came to take it away. It's good to know that it will be planted in one of our county parks and will be good for the environment. You can see too that I hung up the awesome photo of Walt and Annie that they gave us for a Christmas present. Annie said she especially liked this photo because Walt looks "hot" in it. I have to agree! Also is a photo of a metal cross that was handcrafted in San Antonio. I'm hanging it indoors for now, but it may find a home in my garden this spring.
I've got a lot of goals on my heart and mind for this year. I always make some goals each year and it's fun to see what was actually accomplished. I think my biggest goal is to "put on Jesus" each day, to be more like Him, to exude more of Him to others. I'm still learning how to do that and I'm far from having it down, but it does seem to be something that God is impressing on me. Another goal is to spend more time in prayer....not just the quick, thankyou prayers, but to actually be specific about things and pray without ceasing for them because they are important. That's hard too and I am praying that God will teach me how to do this.
Friends, I appreciate all you take the time to check into my little blog of ramblings and I want you to know that I'm praying for you. I also want to spend more time with you, so if I haven't called you to meet for lunch, tea, or coffee, CALL ME!! It's important!
God Bless......
