My Birthday

I was born on May 1, 1951....Yikes!! 57 years ago!! On Tues, we were visiting Mike's sister Linda, her hubby Ron, their son Chip, and my father-in-law Russ. We all went out to lunch at a place called Babe's. Guess it's a pretty popular place according to my daughter-in-law. So you sit down at the table, order your meat dish and they provide big bowls of side dishes like okra, corn, green beans, green tomato relish, and of course mashed potatos and gravy. It's just good old southern comfort food. Mike and I had catfish, others had smoked chicken, roast beef, and chicken friend steak. And they had the most delious bisquits with honey or molasses...light and flakey. Yumm-o! Toward the end of the meal the waitresses gathered behind me and placed this goofy chicken hat on my head and proceed to sing happy birthday. My sis-in-law pulled that one on me! It was a hoot. And to commemorate the occasion, I bought a Babe's T-shirt. Sweeeeet!
