Reunion

On 4/26/08, my son Walt and Annie Elbert got married. I'll share much more about the wedding in another post. But in addition to a wedding, we had a mini family reunion of cousins from my dad's side of the family...the Wilson's. Of course I was there! But also my sister and her hubby from Florida, my cousin George and wife Joyce from Virginia, my cousin Jerry and wife Barbara also from Virginia, my cousin Oshia and hubby Brian from Cedar Hill TX and last but not least, my cousin Kenny and wife Sue from Houston. We all so seldom get together because of distance, we take advantage of any opportunity to meet. We had a great time at the wedding reception just talking, taking photos and catching up. Ken and Sue had to leave but the rest of of including my hubby Mike and friends from England, Tony and Tracy went out for the evening to famous Fort Worth Stampede. We saw a lot of cowboys! Had a fantastic steak dinner which was served with a side dish of "calf fries" and dip. If you don't know what they are, ask me! Believe me, we didn't order them...they just serve them! It was a wonderful evening for all of us. Some even went to Billy Bob's and watched Travis Tritt perform....unfortunately, not me and Mike...too pooped.
My thanks to all my family who travelled many miles to share in the wonderful event of my son's wedding. It was a special gift to me and especially special to Walt and Annie. Family is precious! Keep in touch with them!
