Busy, Busy, Busy

Well, it's been about 2 weeks since I resigned from my nursing job. God just worked it out so that it was do-able and it's been a real blessing so far. Can't say that I miss it! I seem to have something going on every day. I'm really focusing on my Stampin' UP business. I had my very first workshop this past Saturday and the hostess was quite pleased! We had 8 guests and everyone really enjoyed learning about card making with stamps and all got to take home 4 projects each. I've also been working on my presentation for a local hair salon who wants to use my stamping skills in her promo material. That's really exciting. I found a stamp maker in Michigan who made the logo for me in stamp form and am now creating materials that I hope will be used in the salon.
We've also been gardening and landscaping our yard and front bank. It's a grueling task since our dirt is FULL of rocks. But we're actually trying to utilize the rocks in the landscape so we'll see how it turns out.
I'm still reading the "taming the tongue" book....I have about 8 more days to go. It's been a great book for conversations with my friends and it's helped us all stop and think about what and how we speak. I'm also reading "the Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian. What a wonderful way to help your husband in areas of need! I feel really blessed to be able to pray for my husband...especially with his crazy job situation! I have been praying particularly for his "purpose" there.
I got some really great news from my Dr today! My cholesterol is 185!! Drastically improved now that I'm on a "statin" drug. And even better, my liver enzymes were normal. This is a big praise!!
That's the updat at the Swopes homestead. God Bless and I'll keep in touch.
