I never dreamed I'd get tagged but I did, thank you Lorrie!!
I have to post the rules:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 6 random things about yourself
3. Tag 6 people at the end of the post.
4. If you're tagged, DO IT and pass on the tag.
Here's my random things:
1. I was a member of the "Patty Duke" fan club. Yes, you heard me right. When I was in grade school, Patty Duke was in her teens and had a TV show where she played a twin. A bunch of my friends and myself decided we wanted to be just like her. We wore our hair like her, wore the same dress (we had to make the dress ourselves). I was actually the treasurer and one day we decided we wanted to call Paul McCartney of the Beatles. So we used up all the money we had (just coins) at a payphone to call him. Never connected, but that was the end of our fan club.
2. I owned a business...called Expressions....it was (and still is) a crafty gift shop in Elkins. When we began the shop, it was in our home and we sold only handcrafted items from WV. It was an amazing experience but I wouldn't do it again.
3. I learned how to weave on a loom. I bought a huge floor loom and produced placemants and rugs which I sold. I even assisted the master weaver in her class to teach others. Another amazing experience.
4. I used to bake bread. Every week I'd bake bread for our consumption. I got really good at it too! It was called Pilgrims Bread and was full of whole grains and cornmeal but had a light texture. Yummy. Then I got too busy to make it and bought it from a guy who made bread for a living. Wonder whatever happened to Tom??
5. I used to be a Mary Kay consultant. What a joke!! I got sucked into the business by a super agressive consultant, ended up spending more money on the product inventory than I had and got into major debt. And the reason I went into it was to earn money for my son's college education. I had stars in my eyes and really blew it. God helped me out of it though. The more I trusted him, the more I didn't need Mary Kay.
6. I was an OB nurse right out of college. I did this for a few years and one night, when a patient needed to go to the bathroom and I let her and she delivered her baby in the toilet, I decided..."NO MORE BABIES"!! That was really scarey!
OK...I could go on forever but I think these are crazy enough. Now for my taggees:
1. Nina Hancock
2. Billy Williams ( I know Lorrie tagged him but he may need more encouragement)
3. Beth Chase
4. Hans Rueffert ( I doubt that Hans actually reads my blog, nor does he have time to do this, but he's a great guy and has lots of interesting stories to tell!)
5. Cole Bozic
6. Ashley McBride
OK guys...you're tagged...DO IT...and pass the tag on as ordered.
Pam

How funny! That sums up my Mary Kay experience to a T. I barely even wear makeup....I'm not sure WHY I thought I could sell it!
